Schachner’s Bernese Mountain Dogs

We sell our puppies with AKC papers for $2000. If a puppy is chosen, a non-refundable holding deposit is required of $200(remaining $1800 due upon pick up). Our puppies are handled by us starting after birth; they get used to paws and tails being touched (helps them remain calm for future grooming experiences). We use loud noises as they get older so they aren’t afraid of an occasional loud moment in your home or things like thunderstorms, fireworks on the 4th of July, etc. For puppies who are with us past 8 weeks old they begin basic obedience training. We start to potty train them at 4 weeks old so it is an easier process when arriving in your home. Our puppies are prized for their gentle nature around kids thanks to our children who are a big part of raising our puppies. Our puppies are socialized with big/small dogs, adults/kids/elderly, cats, and are familiar with chickens and goats(scents, not interaction). Our puppies go home with a tote full of additional help/tips for your new family’s addition. Inside will be the current pet food we feed them, your AKC papers for registration, an AKC folder with information and helpful tips, a blanket that smells like littermates/mom, a puppy toy, and their deworming/vaccination record. Their dewclaws will be removed if present at birth. They will have their first set of puppy shots at 6 weeks old(if they remain longer then 8 weeks they get the second set of shots at 10 weeks old and then third at 14 weeks old) and a deworming done every two weeks from birth to 2 months old(3 months if they are still with us). Minnie(mom 110lbs) and Atlas(dad 130lbs) have had and cleared genetic tests for VWD and DM.
